About the hosts
larson & Sweedal's story
Our story began 10 years ago in our College of Engineering, where a simple friendship slowly grew into something truly meaningful. Exactly a decade later, we felt it was the perfect time to tie the knot and begin this next beautiful chapter together.
We both come from Indian Christian families and currently work in the IT industry. At 27 years old, we feel grateful for the journey that brought us here—shaped by faith, friendship, and the countless memories we’ve created along the way.
Our wedding will take place along the serene coastal side of Karnataka, a place that reflects the calm and joy we feel as we step into marriage.
We wholeheartedly invite you to be a part of our celebration. Your presence will make our day even more special.
As we often say, “Love is better when shared—so come, celebrate with us and bless our new beginning.”

Roce
The Roce ceremony is a traditional pre-wedding ritual where the groom is anointed with roce, a mixture made primarily of coconut milk and coconut oil. The word “roce” itself comes from the Portuguese word for “juice,” symbolizing purity, blessings, and the beginning of a new chapter.
The Roce ceremony in coastal Karnataka isn’t just a blessing—it’s a full-on fun fest! What starts with gentle coconut milk turns into a hilarious splash party with beer, fruit juices, milk, and even eggs making surprise appearances. Friends and cousins love to playfully “attack” the bride or groom, and absolutely no one walks away clean. With loud laughter, teasing Konkani songs, and messy, unforgettable moments, the Roce becomes one of the most entertaining and joy-filled parts of the wedding celebrations.

Nuptial Wedding
A Christian wedding in Coastal Karnataka is a beautiful mix of faith and tradition. The ceremony takes place in a church with hymns, Bible readings, and a special Nuptial Mass. The bride and groom exchange vows, rings, and receive blessings from the priest. They then sign the register and offer flowers to Mother Mary—a unique coastal tradition. The ceremony ends with joyful music, prayers, and the couple walking out as husband and wife.
Reception
The wedding reception is a lively, joyful celebration held after the church ceremony. The newly married couple makes a grand entrance, followed by a cake-cutting and a toast. There’s lots of music, dancing, and fun—sometimes even Konkani songs or traditional family dances. Guests enjoy a delicious spread of coastal and continental food, meet the couple on stage for photos, and give their blessings. The evening is filled with laughter, warmth, and a festive coastal vibe, ending with everyone joining the dance floor to celebrate the couple’s new beginning.
