Srinadh Chowdary & Manasa Chowdary's story
Our wedding journey begins in our village with Pelli Kuthuru, a meaningful South Indian tradition where family and friends bless the couple before the wedding day. We are Manasa Chowdary and Srinadh Chowdary, and our story began through matrimony, guided by our families. A simple phone call turned into honest conversations, shared values, and a deep sense of comfort. With our families’ blessings, we chose each other and are getting married on April 12th. The celebrations include a royal Rayalaseema reception, offering authentic regional cuisine served on a traditional platter. Our wedding will take place near the famous Kanipakam Lord Ganesha Temple, a place of spiritual significance, featuring timeless South Indian rituals and a traditional wedding breakfast. This is more than a wedding—it’s an opportunity to experience SouthIndian culture, food, spirituality, and heartfelt hospitality.
"Two families, one promise, many hearts coming together".
We would love to celebrate with you.

Pellikuturu event and reception
Day 1 – Pelli Kuthuru & Reception
Our wedding celebrations begin with Pelli Kuthuru, a beautiful South Indian pre-wedding ritual held in our village. During this ceremony, the bride gets dressed in traditional attire and receives blessings from the elders of the family. Special rituals are performed by the bride’s maternal uncle, symbolizing love, protection, and family bonds. Food is offered as part of the ceremony, making it a meaningful and joyous start to the celebrations.
After Pelli Kuthuru, we move on to the Reception, where the bride and groom welcome guests on stage. Friends and family come forward to offer their wishes and blessings, followed by a grand feast featuring traditional cuisine.
The day continues with cultural rituals such as Nalugu and other sacred customs, reflecting the richness of South Indian traditions and family values. Each ritual holds a special meaning, making Day 1 a warm blend of celebration, culture, and togetherness.

Marriage
Wedding Ceremony
After the completion of Nalugu on Day 1, the main wedding ceremony takes place. The rituals are guided by a learned priest, known as Purohitulu (Pantulu), who leads the bride and groom through sacred Vedic traditions and explains each step.
At the auspicious Muhurtam time, the couple performs Jilakara Bellam, a ritual that symbolizes unity and togetherness. The most important moment follows, when the groom ties the Mangalyam (Thali) around the bride’s neck, marking their marriage.
The ceremony continues with Talambralu, a joyful ritual where the couple showers each other with rice, creating sweet and playful moments. Elders and guests bless the couple throughout the ceremony and completed by seeing arundati nashtram
The wedding rituals end with a traditional South Indian breakfast served to all guests, celebrating the beginning of our new life together.
